Beyond the Trail
Dogwoods line the banks of the Merced river in Yosemite Valley and the spring blooms coincide with the snow run-off in the high country filling Yosemite's rivers and waterfalls. I captured this image while strolling along the banks of the river, I set up shop after finding this small group of blooms. The day was overcast and the steady wind forced me to make many exposures as I tried to time the image between wind gusts. The image was made with a Mamiya 645M, 80mm lens, and a polarizing filter on Fuji Velvia 50 film.
