Beyond the Trail
I'm always on the search for soft light as I look through my catalog of images it seems to be a staple of much of my work and this image continues my style. During a trip to the Big Sur Coast I headed over to the nearby area of Pacific Grove and started my search for some images. I drove along the ocean for a few miles before heading back to a spot I noticed along the way. I started working along the shoreline but didn't find anything too exciting as the light wasn't particularly wonderful. I knew however after the sunset some of the thin clouds that were being blown out by the bright light of the sky would start to show their colors. I step up on some high rocks projecting out into the water and waited for the color to come out. Sure enough after the sun set the sky and land filled with wonderful soft blue and purple light.
