Beyond the Trail
Another morning overlooking the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. Lining the banks of the Snake river is brush which blooms beautiful purple flowers in June, the park's spring. While many people make their images from a pullout behind where I was standing for this image, I wanted to do something different. The purple flowers made a strong foreground subject so I fought my way through the bushes and found one with a perfect flower display.
I spent a long time finding a composition I liked as I wanted to make sure and include the reflection of Mount Moran in the Snake river on the left side of the image while still keeping the flowers as the main subject of the image. I tried many compositions at different heights before finally choosing this one. Just above the reflection of Mount Moran in the Snake river you can see a flock of geese enjoying the morning. | |||||||
