The Big Sur Coast April 12th to April 14th, 20130 The Big Sur coast of California is a magical place, and one of my favorite places in the world to photograph. Join me for a photography workshop in one of the world's most beautiful locations. The rugged Big Sur coastline is unlike any other on the planet and wonderful photo opportunities are everywhere. We'll spend our days on golden beaches, coastal rocks surrounded by crashing waves, exploring wonderful sea arches and beautiful waterfalls that drop into the sea. From dramatic oceans to perfect sunsets and wildflowers the Big Sur coast has it all and is a perfect location for a photography workshop. Topics Covered:

Limited to: Just 8 participates Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced - Participates should have a good working knowledge of how to operate their camera in manual mode. In addition having a good knowledge of stops, shutter speeds and f/stops will allow you to focus your attention on creativity and creating high quality images. WHAT TO EXPECT: A typical day will start early, with a sunrise session at one of the numerous nearby beaches, followed by breakfast at some of my favorite spots. Depending on weather conditions the afternoon will be spent in the field, touring some of the nearby photography galleries (inspiration is a wonderful tool) and class sessions discussing photography technique, theory, print sharing and Photoshop tutorials, followed by a bit of free time in the late afternoon before heading out for a sunset shoot. The sunsets a bit later during this time of year so dinner will be either on your own or you can join me at a local restaurant before getting a good nights rest. While the days are long they're filled with one-on-one instruction, lessons and discussion and print sharing that you can apply immediately in the field. Lodging and meals are not included with the workshop, however a local lodging guide and recommendations are included in the workshop's workbook that you'll receive after sign-up. |
