Mono Lake and the Eastern Sierras October 4th to 6th, 20130 Join me for a photography workshop featuring the best color display in the Eastern Sierras of California. Highway 395 runs through some of the best fall colors in California, in addition Mono lake is known for its strange and beautiful tufa that raise out of the ground and the water like something from another time. We'll spend time both here and many other Eastern Sierra locations such as June Lake, Lundy Canyon and the nearby ghost town of Bodie. This part of the Sierras offers color galore including hillsides covered in the gold and yellow of turning Aspens, I know some of the best places to find the best color and I'm willing to share. I hope you'll join me for what will be a wonderful experience of learning, creation and camaraderie during this one-of-a-kind photography workshop. Topics Covered:
What is Included
Limited to: Just 8 participates Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced - Participates should have a good working knowledge of how to operate their camera in manual mode. In addition having a good knowledge of stops, shutter speeds and f/stops will allow you to focus your attention on creativity and creating high quality images. WHAT TO EXPECT: A typical day will start early, with a sunrise session at one of our beautiful shooting locations, followed by breakfast in the nearby town of Lee Vining. Depending on weather conditions the afternoon will be spent in the field or indoors with class sessions discussing photography technique, theory or critiques followed by a bit of free time in the late afternoon before heading out for a sunset shoot. Dinner follows then either a critique session or free time to work one the day's images, depending on how the afternoon went.. While the days are long they're filled with one-on-one instruction and critique sessions that you can apply immediately in the field. Lodging and meals are not included with the workshop, however a local lodging guide and recommendations are included in the workshop's workbook that you'll receive after sign-up. |
